The Bedwellty Society are pleased to announce that a sheepdog demonstration will be taking place at #BedwelltyAgriculturalShow2022  

Mac the border collie and his handler will be joining us on the show ground to demonstrate to our visitors why a dog is a shepherds’ best friend on the field.

We can’t wait for Mac & his flock to join us on Saturday!

This year in edition to our normal option of paying cash on the gate for admission we are also offering the option to buy your ticket in advance of show day.

If this is something you would like to do tickets can be purchased via Ticket Source here. Please note this is our ONLY official selling site, we are not selling tickets in advance of show day anywhere else.

We love seeing your photographs. Please ‘tag’ us on social media or email your photographs/videos in to us so we can share them on our platforms. Just like Simba the pony who snapped a selfie at our show back in 2018!

These images are also lovely for the team behind the show to look back on in the weeks after the show. We are often all so busy on show day and in the days before/after setting up the ground ready to welcome visitors and exhibitors we don’t get to see sections of the show outside of the one we are involved in – your photos give us an insight into the day from a visitor or exhibitors perspective that we really value and enjoy seeing.

We always get asked if dogs are welcome to attend our show and the answer is – Yes! Well behaved dogs are welcome to attend, we simply ask that some rules are followed: The dog must be kept on a lead and under control at all times, there are some areas of the show ground they are not permitted to enter (the craft and horticulture tent) and we ask that a sensible distance is maintained from all horses and livestock on the show ground.

We love that visitors to the show want to bring their furry companion to enjoy the day with them and that is why we are yet again having a family friendly dog show.

Entries will be taken on the day ONLY for these classes, there is no need to book in before show day.

IMPORTANT EVENT UPDATE:  Due to unforeseen circumstances as of 17/08/2021 the Bedwellty Show committee have unfortunately made the decision to cancel this event.

Bedwellty Treasure Hunt 2021! 

Following the success of previous years treasure hunts we are going to organise one on the 22^nd August 2021.  It will start from Llancaiach Fawr Manor, between 2.00PM and 3.00 PM, and end at a top secret location where there will be food and refreshments!

There will be a £5 fee per person with under 12s free. The £5 will also include one Burger/Hot dog at the finish.

This will be a lovely opportunity to get together for the first time in almost 2 years and will help to support the show when it can return in 2022.

Cars will leave at 5 minute intervals so please book a time to save waiting. Please spread the word and get as many as you can to participate.
