A big thank you to Shield Marquee Manufacturing Ltd for not only providing us with an important part of our show, but teaching team Bedwellty how to set it up for the first time – helped by the youth of Gelligaer young farmers club 💪😂

Note: If entering today please do not put your entry form in the post as it will not be received in time, instead bring it completed with you on the day, but your entry MUST be received by the secretary by telephone today.

• Livestock

Saturday 10th August 2019 – NO LATE ENTRIES

• Horse and  Pony

Monday 12th August 2019 – NO LATE ENTRIES FOR CLASSES 13 – 36

All horse and pony classes (apart from classes 13-36) can be entered on the day, but at an extra charge of £4.50 per class (Novelty and young handles (classes 6-12) are excluded from the additional on the day fee)

Vaccinated Horses ONLY – Please remember to print off and fill in your declaration form here. All horses MUST be accompanied by their passport as we will be scanning microchips and checking passports on show day.

• Horticulture 

Closing date extended until Wednesday 14th August 2019 for POSTAL entries. Entries accepted on the day – must be in the horticulture tent before 10am.

• Poultry

Closing date for postal entries extended from Friday 9th August 2019 to Wednesday 14th August 2019 – NO LATE ENTRIES.

• Children’s Craft

Entries accepted on the day, all entries MUST be in the Horticulture tent by 10am on show day.

Polite Reminder: If you have won a trophy, cup or plate at our show please return it to the appropriate section secretary either in person on show day (Saturday 17th August 2019) or prior.

The Supreme horse at our 2019 show will now be judged by Mr Bernard Llewellyn.

Vintage Machinery, Tractor and Car Display

Sheep Shearing Demonstration (Subject to weather)

                                                                          Goat Display

Dyfed Shire Horses vs Bowen Contracting will go to head in a demonstration of horse power on the farm Vs modern machinery.

Also featuring at the 2019 show for the first time will be A1 Jump and Bounce, who will be fetching a slide, bouncy castle, wipe out and bungee run – free of charge for all to enjoy!

With plenty to see and do, this years show will be a fun day out for all the family.

Gelligaer YFC will be hosting their annual Summer Dance with DJ and Karaoke at Nelson RFC after our show, why not join them – a great night out and a way to support your local Young Farmers Club.

Tickets are priced at £5 per person available either on the door, or from the YFC stall at our show.

Horse competitors: Following a print error of Class 49, the horse schedule on our website has now been updated.
